Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy has both CPU and GPU overclocked
The first test of the overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy single-chip system has appeared on the Internet – this, according to preliminary data, will be used in all Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, as well as in the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus for some markets and regions. We tested the SoC in Geekbench, which made it possible to compare its performance with the regular Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. And it turned out that the overclocked system was inferior.

2148 points in the single-threaded test and 6618 points in the multi-threaded test for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy versus 2234 and 6807 points for the regular Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It is not yet clear what is causing this difference: perhaps the cooling system of the prototype, perhaps the drivers. But the fact remains that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy is slower than the regular Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy, we recall, is distinguished by an increased frequency of the Arm Cortex-X4 supercore by 100 MHz (up to 3.4 GHz), as well as an increased frequency of the Adreno 750 GPU by 100 MHz (up to 1 GHz).
