It is released by Hisense.
At CES 2020 earlier this year, Hisense demonstrated the world’s first smartphone with a color display on electronic ink. Today, the company confirmed that the smartphone will be released in China on April 23 during the China Digital Cloud 2020 conference.
The main feature of the device is the E Ink color screen. Color displays on electronic ink appeared in e-books for a long time, but this is the first case in the smartphone industry.
Hisense also claims that the new E Ink color displays have a higher refresh rate than previous generation screens, so the image on them looks and feels better. The screen can display 4096 colors, along with reading will not harm your eyes since the display does not emit light. For use at night, the smartphone is equipped with a front source of warm light that will evenly illuminate the display. In addition, the screen has ultra-low power consumption.
Hisense will partner with Jingdong Reading, Palm Reading, QQ Reading, Migu Reading, People Reading, and other major platforms to offer users as much content as possible.
As for the capabilities of the device as a smartphone, they will be discussed on April 23.
