Hogwarts Legacy Lead Game Designer To Leave Avalanche Software Due To Three Years Old Video

Hogwarts Legacy Lead Game Designer Troy Leavitt has decided to step down from his position and leave Avalanche Software. The reason was the recent scandal, due to which some users began to criticize the future game in the Harry Potter universe. It even got to the point that Hogwarts Legacy was banned from discussing on the ResetEra forum.

In his personal microblog, Troy Leavitt wrote: “1. I have decided to part ways with Avalanche Software. I can only say good things about the game, the development team, and WB Games. 2. Soon, I will publish a video about the current situation on my YouTube channel

Actually, the Troy Leavitt channel was the cause of the scandal. Two weeks ago, blogger Liam Robertson posted a tweet on his Twitter account in which he drew attention to a video by the now ex-game designer of Hogwarts Legacy. In these videos, the developer actively criticized the SJW community, the MeToo movement, the “cancellation culture,” and so on. And although Troy Leavitt’s YouTube channel has not been updated for more than two years, his then statements now angered part of the community. Apparently, the ResetEra forum administrators belonged to it, who forbade discussing the upcoming creation of Avalanche Software on their resource.

Recall: Hogwarts Legacy will be released in 2022 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Series S; the exact date is still unknown.
