The Chinese company Honor launched its new Honor Magic V2 foldable smartphone in China back in July. However, its official presentation to the international market took place only now at the IFA 2023 exhibition in Berlin.
The Magic V2 is Honor’s thinnest and lightest foldable smartphone. The company itself did not announce recommended prices and release dates during the presentation. However, journalists at the exhibition were able to find out some details.
As reported by the thematic resource GSMArena, on the sidelines of the event, Honor executive director George Zhao hinted that the price of the Magic Vs is a good benchmark for the pricing of the Magic V2.

The Honor Magic Vs was released outside China in February 2023 for €1,599 for the 12GB/512GB version, so we can expect the China-exclusive Magic V2 to be offered in the same price range internationally.
The AndroidAuthority resource managed to get confirmation from the Honor representative about the timing. According to the source, the company is not going to rush. Sales on the international market are scheduled to start only in the first quarter of 2024. This means that there will be at least six months between the Chinese and global launches.
At the same time, a description of the smartphone appeared on various regional Honor websites. The new Magic V2 is available on Honor’s websites in Germany, Italy, Spain, Ireland, and the UK. The phone is also expected to launch in various Latin American markets.
Honor Magic V2 is equipped with SoC Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and two screens: a foldable internal OLED LTPO with a diagonal of 7.92 inches, a frame rate of 120 Hz, and a resolution of 2344 x 2156 pixels, and an external 6.43-inch OLED LTPO with a frame rate of 120 Hz and a resolution of 2376 x 1060 pixels.
The 5000 mAh battery supports 66W wired charging. The main camera includes three modules: a 50 MP main camera with OIS, a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle a 20 MP telephoto with OIS, and a 16 mm front camera. The smartphone, with a folded thickness of 9.9 mm, weighs 231 grams.
