Honor unveils Watch ES – an inexpensive smartwatch for fitness

Along with the Watch GS Pro rugged smartwatch with a built-in GPS receiver, Honor has presented a simpler Watch ES at IFA 2020, which is aimed at sports and fitness enthusiasts who follow current trends and strive for a healthy lifestyle. This device is designed to fill the gap between smart bracelets and advanced smartwatches.

The device can offer a constantly working AMOLED display with a diagonal of 1.64 inches (456 × 280, 326 pixels per inch), 95 training modes, 12 animated courses for various scenarios such as fat burning or ab workout, as well as a whole set of effective workouts for health and good health.

Despite the presence of a screen in the Watch ES that requires a large amount of battery power, Honor assures that the device can work autonomously for up to 10 days. And although the device received a fractional screen, large by the standards of the watch, the device weighs only 21 grams without a strap and is 10.7 mm thick.

Among the possibilities are animated workouts, which can be given literally 3 minutes – for example, while waiting for a meeting or the arrival of a bus. The device has 44 separate animations that will teach you how to conduct classes correctly. The watch supports 95 different workout options, from running to swimming at sea. In addition, the Watch ES automatically recognizes activities such as running, walking, rowing, or elliptical training.

In addition to regular statistics, Watch ES offers 24/7 heart rate and blood oxygen levels, combined with stress and sleep monitoring. The device offers menstrual tracking, but only for people who use an Android phone in conjunction with a new watch. The same goes for navigation functions – the watch does not have its own GPS receiver.
