Horror movie The Medium paid off the day after release
Bloober Team has announced that the development and marketing costs of the supernatural horror film The Medium have been recouped on January 29, the day after the game’s release.
Interestingly, Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno previously talked about The Medium’s budget. It exceeds 30 million zlotys, which at the current exchange rate is about $ 8 million. In addition to this, Babieno reported the budget for Observer: System Redux – less than 10 million zlotys (or less than $ 2.7 million).
It turns out that the game has already brought Bloober Team over $ 8 million. Unfortunately, the studio’s board did not disclose the number of copies sold or other details. Perhaps it will be published later.
The Medium was released on January 28 on PC and Xbox Series X and S. The game was immediately available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
