Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport is capable of driving 550 km on the highway on one tank
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has published the fuel efficiency figures for the 2021 Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport hypercar. As it turned out, for a car equipped with an 8-liter W16 engine with a capacity of 1500 hp, the Chiron Pur Sport is quite economical: in the combined cycle, it consumes 23.5 liters of fuel per 100 km. By the way, the EPA rating quite accurately reflects the real consumption, in contrast to the same WLTP.
How much gasoline does a 1500 hp hypercar consume? With an 8-liter W16 engine? It turned out not so much
Fuel consumption in the urban cycle is higher – 29.4 liters, and in road mode, the hypercar consumes only 18 liters of gasoline per 100 km. The car’s fuel tank’s volume is 100 liters so that it can drive 550 km on the highway or just over 400 km in mixed mode at one gas station. Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to stop by a gas station every day, even if you use the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport like a regular car – for commuting or shopping.
However, the cost of gasoline for the owner of the Chiron Pur Sport is a mere trifle against the background of the hypercar’s cost: $ 3.5 million. A total of 60 such cars will be produced.
