62.2% of foreign webmasters believe that the latest update to Google’s core algorithm, the May 2020 Core Update, negatively impacted the quality of search results. This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the author of Search Engine Roundtable blog Barry Schwartz on Twitter.

The survey involved 1356 people.

A positive impact of the update on the quality of search results was noted by 18.9% of respondents.

At the same time, 19% believe that after the update, nothing has changed in terms of quality – it has remained at the same level.

Recall that Google began launching the last update of the main algorithm on May 4. On May 18, the search engine announced the completion of this process.

The first update data is available here, and Moz analysis is here.
