The head of CellX also believes that the production of artificial meat on an industrial scale will significantly reduce its cost, and the launch of a large plant in 2025 will further reduce costs. In addition to providing meat products to the 1.4 billion people of China, the company also plans to enter the international market. Toward the end of this year, CellX is set to receive approval from food regulators in the US and Singapore to begin selling its cultured meats in those countries. At the moment, the sale of “test tube meat” is only allowed in these countries.
