Omen 15 update may come out in the current quarter
Information about the next update of the HP Omen 15 notebooks has appeared on the network. It is alleged that new APUs and GPUs will come to popular models this year.
HP Omen 15 2021 laptops will be built on AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processors and equipped with Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 graphics cards
In 2020, the manufacturer was one of the first to choose AMD Ryzen, 4000 series processors. According to the source, HP Omen 15 laptops from 2021 will be built on AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processors and equipped with Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 graphics cards with 6 GB of memory. The source notes that HP’s cost of developing a mobile system based on the Ryzen 4000 was a far-sighted step and paid off since neither the motherboard nor the cooling system needs to be changed to switch to the Ryzen 5000 (Cezanne). Essentially, HP will only change the BIOS.
The laptop described by the source is equipped with 16GB of DDR4-3200 memory – the fastest supported by the Cezanne APU. The SSD has a PCIe Gen3 storage capacity of 512 GB. Of course, the manufacturer is expected to offer many different combinations of Ryzen processors, graphics cards, and memory and storage configurations. The Omen 15 update may come out in the current quarter.
