Many modern cellular devices have a fingerprint scanner integrated directly into the screen area. However, fingerprints are read-only in a certain area in the lower half of the panel.

Huawei’s development will enable fingerprinting in any section of the touchscreen. According to the idea of the company, due to this, it will be possible to implement qualitatively new functions.

For example, it will simplify the identification of users in various applications. For example, instead of first launching a program and then authenticating through a fingerprint sensor, a mode can be activated in which user authentication will be performed directly at the moment of touching the application icon.

In addition, Huawei technology will expand the capabilities of the lock screen: the user can quickly access personal information, messages, etc.

It is also noted that the operation of the system can be configured in such a way that fingerprints will be scanned only in a certain area of the screen.
