Huawei is preparing to launch the mid-range smartwatch Nova Watch
It became known that the Chinese company Huawei has applied for registration of the Nova Watch trademark. This means that the manufacturer intends to expand the Nova family of devices, which now includes mid-range smartphones, by adding smartwatches.
The Nova Watch trademark application was reportedly filed on January 11 in China. Unfortunately, there is currently no information on the characteristics and timing of the launch of the Chinese telecommunications giant’s new smartwatch.
The source suggests that under the name Nova Watch, smartwatches of the mid-price category will be produced, aimed at the youth audience. It is noted that the need to launch a new smartwatch could arise from Huawei after the Honor brand separated from the Chinese vendor and turned into an independent company.
Recall that Huawei has been producing smartphones of the Nova series since 2016. Nova devices are mid-range devices that are popular in the markets of various countries. Not so long ago, the manufacturer released new smartphones Nova 8 and Nova 8 Pro, which are based on modern hardware and software solutions. It is likely that smartwatches will soon be added to the popular series of devices.
