Huawei MateBook X 2020 poses in two colors on new teaser

Tomorrow, August 19, Huawei will be holding a launch event for the updated MateBook X (2020). According to the company, the ultrabook will be the direct successor to the first model in the series, which was introduced back in 2017. As a reminder, the original MateBook X is based on Intel’s seventh-generation processors and boasts 4GB or 8GB of RAM. An advertising poster released today indicates that his successor will be available in at least two colors.

The stuffing of the upcoming laptop is still a mystery, but the company has revealed its design with a series of teasers. The device will be very similar to the MateBook X Pro introduced earlier this year. According to the new teaser, the laptop will be presented in at least two colors: silver and pink. “At least” because early leaks show the device in four colors, but this information has not been officially confirmed. It is assumed that the laptop will be released in silver, blue, green, and pink. The MateBook X Pro comes in these colors, but the fact that only the silver and pink MateBook X are shown in the ad poster suggests that the Ultrabook will only get two color options.

However, the most interesting question is which processors will form the basis of new devices. It is assumed that the ultrabook may be based on Intel Comet Lake chips, however, in light of the US sanctions, it is likely that a special version of the laptop with a Chinese-designed processor will be released. Recall that Huawei is developing Kunpeng processors, on the basis of which high-performance workstations are created.

Among other things, it is reported that the new Huawei MateBook X will be the first Windows device with a touchpad that is sensitive to pressure.
