The novelty was the first laptop with a so-called “floating” display (Floating Full Screen). This 13 ”, narrow bezel panel occupies 90% of the lid area. The resolution is 3000 × 2000 dots (3K format), the pixel density is 278 PPI (dots per inch). It claims 100% coverage of the sRGB color space, and the contrast ratio reaches 1500: 1.

The Intel Comet Lake platform was chosen as the hardware basis: the laptop can be equipped with a Core i7-10510U or Core i5-10210U processor, each of which has four computing cores. The amount of RAM is 8 or 16 GB; The solid-state drive is designed to store 512 GB of information.

The computer received an innovative passive cooling system with an ultra-thin evaporation chamber and multilayer graphite panels. Thanks to this solution, the device does not generate noise during operation.

The equipment includes a pressure-sensitive touchpad with an integrated NFC controller. The power button has a built-in fingerprint scanner. Mentioned are a retractable webcam, a high-quality audio system, and two USB Type-C ports on opposite sides of the case.

The thickness of the laptop does not exceed 13.6 mm, and the weight is only about one kilogram. The declared battery life on one recharge of the battery reaches 9 hours.

The MateBook X will be available in Frost Silver, Interstellar Blue, Green Mountain Daisy, and Cherry Blossom Powder (light pink) starting at $ 1,150.
