Huawei P40 Pro and P40 Pro + cameras improved with EMUI 10.1.0.140

Huawei P40 Pro and P40 Pro + smartphones are already available in international markets, although they do not have GMS (Google Mobile Services). Huawei relies on its HMS services (Huawei Mobile Services) and the AppGallery app store. To spur interest in European versions of smartphones, the company released an update to EMUI 10.1.0.140, which brings improvements to the cameras of smartphones.

Huawei P40 Pro + came out in Europe with an improved camera

The latest 515 MB EMUI 10.1.0.140 update brings three major changes, all related to cameras. Two of them are aimed at improving photos and videos on the front camera. The third change concerns improving the quality of portraiture in low light conditions.

The update adds smart eye tracking to the Huawei P40 Pro and P40 Pro +. This allows you to clearly track your eyes, taking photos, and recording videos. This was implemented using an IR depth sensor next to the front camera in the display cutout.

The second function, focused on improving selfies, is called “compensation of ring lighting.” Finally, the third feature is Super Night Portrait 3.0 mode, which allows you to get high-quality portraits in low light.
