Model Nova 8 received a 6.57-inch OLED display in Full HD + format with a resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. In the centre at the top of the screen is a small hole for a single 32-megapixel selfie camera. The polling rate of the sensor layer is 240 Hz. Responsible for power is a 3800 mAh battery with 66-watt fast charging.

The Nova 8 Pro modification is endowed with a 6.72-inch Full HD + display with a resolution of 2676 × 1236 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a touch response rate of 300 Hz. The elongated screen hole houses a dual camera in a 32 + 16 million pixel configuration. Battery capacity with 66-watt recharge – 4000 mAh.

For both new products, 10-bit colour representation is declared. A fingerprint scanner is integrated directly into the screen area. At the rear, there is a quad-camera with a 64-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel unit with wide-angle optics, and a pair of 2-megapixel sensors.

The smartphones are powered by the proprietary Kirin 985 processor, which works in tandem with 8 GB of RAM. The flash drive capacity can be 128 or 256 GB.

New items are capable of functioning in 5G networks. They are equipped with an NFC controller, a Bluetooth 5 adapter and a USB Type-C port. Huawei Nova 8 starts at $ 500, Nova 8 Pro starts at $ 610.
