Huawei services already have 500 million active users and 2 million developers.

Huawei started working in this direction only at the end of last year. Thanks to the company and developers’ efforts, the current development of the ecosystem is on the right track. Wang confirms that Huawei has three goals. The first is to allow over 80% of major applications to join the HMS ecosystem. The second is resolving the bugs that caused Huawei to delay the release of 12,000 apps worldwide. The third is to make sure the entire ecosystem is working.

Zhang Li, Vice President of Huawei CBG Eco-Development, said the Huawei App Gallery Store is usable and has 18 categories, including news, social media, and entertainment.

Huawei’s mobile services ecosystem currently spans over 170 countries/regions and has over 500 million monthly active users and 2 million registered developers.

Back in September, Huawei AppGallery reached 490 million active users. In the first half of 2020, the number of user app downloads reached 261 billion. At the time, Huawei had 1.8 million developers worldwide, and the App Gallery store had 96,000 apps.
