Huawei Smart Screen TVs to Be First to Get Harmony OS 2.0 Update
Huawei today celebrated the anniversary of the release of Harmony OS-based Smart Screens. In honor of the event, Zhi Hao, Head of IoT at Huawei, announced that Smart Screen TVs will be the first devices from the company to receive Harmony OS 2.0. In addition, he promised that Huawei will introduce a new family of smart TVs by the end of the year.
Harmony OS 2.0 was unveiled at the Huawei Developer Conference on September 10th of this year. In addition to smart TVs, the new operating system will be used in smartwatches and tablets, and later in smartphones. The Harmony OS 2.0 closed beta for smartphones will begin in December, and regular users will be able to join the program in January 2021. The upcoming family of flagship smartphones Huawei Mate 40 will hit the market on Android.
