But the Mate 30 and Honor 9X series is now included in it.

Huawei has updated the list of devices that receive EMUI security updates every month and quarterly. Compared to the April version, the May list has seen major changes.

So, Huawei P20 and P20 Pro smartphones ( review ), which debuted in 2018, were excluded from it. In the May lists of monthly and quarterly security updates, these models are no longer available.

This means that soon after receiving a proprietary shell EMUI 10  for these models may cease to purposefully update the security system. However, this does not preclude the release of general EMUI updates in the coming months.

In February, the company also removed Huawei Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, and Mate 10 Porsche Design from this list.

In addition, the list of receiving security updates every month now includes global versions of last year’s Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro smartphones ( review ), and Honor 9X was included in the quarterly.
