DriveOne will minimize the layout of the power section of the vehicle, save 220 mm in the vertical direction, reduce the number of mounting brackets and the length of wires
Huawei has announced its universal electric drive system for cars, which has received Huawei DriveOne. The company claims DriveOne is the industry’s first hyper-converged energy solution.
Huawei unveils DriveOne electric drive system for cars
Huawei DriveOne integrates seven mechanical and power components: Micro Control Unit (MCU), Motor, Gearbox, DC-DC Converter (DCDC), On-Board Charger (OBC), Power Distribution Unit (PDU), and Battery Management Unit (BCU).
According to the developers, DriveOne will minimize the layout of the power unit of the vehicle, save 220 mm in the vertical direction, reduce the number of mounting brackets and reduce the length of the wires (by 5 m). In addition, the manufacturer claims that the software update will be installed in just 30 seconds, but this is not the most interesting thing either.
Huawei says it is the industry’s first high-voltage universal electric drive system that can meet the 2C fast charge requirements and guarantee a 200 km range in 10 minutes of charging. The Chinese tech giant said Huawei DriveOne is more efficient, accurate and energy efficient than previous similar solutions.
