Huawei will release smart watches Watch 3 on branded HarmonyOS in May
Network sources have revealed information about some of the features of the Watch 3 smartwatch, which the Chinese giant Huawei is preparing for release: the gadget is said to debut as early as next month.
According to new information, the device will receive support for eSIM technology (built-in electronic SIM-card). This means that owners will be able to make phone calls via mobile networks and connect to the Internet wherever cellular communication is available.
The HarmonyOS operating system with a specially adapted user interface will be used as a software platform on the Huawei Watch 3. A wide range of third-party applications will be available to owners.
Compared to the previous model, the changes will affect the set of sports modes; besides, there will be additional intelligent functions. It can be assumed that the gadget will be able to register heart rate changes throughout the day and assess the level of oxygen in the blood.
Note that at the end of last year, Huawei ranked third in wearable device sales in Russia and the world. In particular, in the Russian Federation, the company demonstrated the highest annual growth rate in the supply of such gadgets – 164%.
