Huawei will unveil the foldable smartphone Mate X2 later this month

Huawei presented its foldable smartphones for two years in a row in February at the MWC. According to recent leaks, despite the dire plight caused by the US sanctions, the Chinese tech giant will once again delight its fans with a foldable device with a flexible screen this month. The upcoming smartphone will be named the Mate X2 and is rumored to be based on a flagship 5nm chipset.

The Mate X2 will receive the HiSilicon Kirin 9000 processor, which debuted in the Mate 40. The smartphone has already been certified by the Chinese regulator TENAA. Thanks to this, it is known that it will be able to boast an 8-inch screen, like its predecessors. However, unlike them, the new smartphone will fold with the display inward, like the Samsung Galaxy Fold devices. The external screen of the device will receive a diagonal of 6.45 inches. The smartphone will boast a quad camera with a main 50-megapixel module, which will be supplemented by 16-, 12- and 8-megapixel sensors. The front camera will be represented by one 16-megapixel sensor. The device is credited with supporting 65W fast charging. The smartphone will run EMUI 11 based on Android 10 with the option to upgrade to Harmony OS. Probably, the Mate X2 will be released in a rather modest edition,

Recall that the current folding smartphone Huawei is named Mate XS. The device boasts a high-quality 8-inch OLED panel that folds outward. The smartphone is based on the 7nm Kirin 990 5G processor, which is paired with 8GB of RAM. The built-in storage capacity of UFS 3.1 is 512 GB.
