The older models of the new line are equipped with a SFS 1.0 flash memory chip developed by HiSilicon

During the disassembly of the Huawei Mate 40 Pro + and Mate 40 RS Porsche Design smartphones, it was discovered that the flash memory chip has the HiSilicon logo, that is, it was developed by the Huawei division.

In addition, measurements of the read and write speed of the Huawei Mate 40 Pro, which have already been carried out by various bloggers, confirm that the new flash memory installed in the Huawei Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 RS Porsche Design is about twice as fast as the UFS flash memory. 3.1.

The source clarifies that the older models of the new line have a SFS 1.0 flash memory chip developed by HiSilicon. Compared to UFS 3.1, random read and write speeds have indeed nearly doubled. UFS 3.1’s average sequential read speed is around 1800 MB / s, sequential write speed is around 700 MB / s, and random write speed is around 200-300 MB / s.

During testing, Huawei Mate 40 Pro found that the phone’s sequential read speed is 1966 MB / s, the sequential write speed is 1280 MB / s, the random read speed is 383 MB / s, and the random write speed is 548 MB / s.

Since Huawei officials rarely mention SFS flash technology and have not yet described its capabilities, details on it are still limited.
