Xiaomi unveils $ 150 Rubik’s cube, which is equipped with an Intel processor and a 256 GB solid state drive
On the crowdfunding platform Xiaomi Youpin, a fundraiser is organized for the release of an ultra-compact computer called Ningmei Rubik’s Cube Mini Computer Host. You can order the device now for an estimated price of $ 150.
The novelty is a small nettop that fits in your pocket. In terms of dimensions, the device is comparable to an ordinary Rubik’s cube – 62 × 62 × 42 mm. The casing is made of metal for efficient heat dissipation.
The “heart” of the product is the Intel Celeron J4125 processor of the Gemini Lake Refresh generation. The chip contains four computing cores without multithreading support. The base clock speed is 2.0 GHz, the maximum frequency is 2.7 GHz. The integrated Intel UHD 600 accelerator is busy with graphics processing.
The equipment includes 6 or 8 GB of RAM and a solid-state drive M.2 with a capacity of 128 or 256 GB. Optionally, you can install a microSD card.
There are adapters for wireless communication Wi-Fi (2.4 and 5 GHz bands) and Bluetooth. The set of connectors includes two USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI interface, a balanced USB Type-C port, and a standard 3.5mm audio jack. The device weighs only 145 grams.
