Huawei’s troubles are just beginning. The flagship smartphone Huawei Mate X2 will also not be released this year

It was reported that the release of another flagship smartphone Huawei, which will be called the Huawei Mate X2, will be postponed until next year. According to Ross Young, founder of research companies Display Supply Chain Consultants and DisplaySearch, the Chinese manufacturing giant will not be able to release a new foldable smartphone this year.

Huawei Mate X hit the market on November 15, 2019. Therefore, it has been suggested that the Huawei Mate X2 will hit the market at the end of 2020. Ross Young also said that the Huawei Mate X2 will receive a new design, and its foldable screen will fold inward, just like the Samsung Galaxy Fold smartphones. However, this device will not feature ultra-thin protective glass but will use Samsung’s flexible panel.

According to previous reports, the Huawei Mate X2 could be equipped with Kirin 1000 (Kirin 9000) chips, up to 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of flash storage. Smartphones are also credited with a 40-megapixel camera with a 3x optical zoom.

Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei’s Consumer Products Division, has confirmed that Huawei’s flagship smartphone Mate 40 will be released on schedule. But an insider claims that Huawei Mate 40 has also been pushed back to next year.
