It stood out not only in design
Today marks exactly 25 years since the launch of the first all-in-one Apple iMac. The first generation model was released on August 15, 1998.

Iconic monoblock Apple iMac is 25 years old. The first PC came out in 1998
Back then it was a CRT-based PC, and its appearance was memorable thanks to the translucent colored plastic.
But technically, the iMac was a rather curious product. For example, it had USB and FireWire ports, while it did not have a 3.5-inch floppy drive and other outdated ports.
The first iMac received a 15-inch screen, a PowerPC G3 processor, a 4 GB hard drive, and 32 MB of RAM.
