The Asus ROG Ally portable game console comes with a 512GB SSD. The younger version with a different processor will offer 256 GB of memory. Considering that some modern games can take up more than 200 GB, even the current top modification will not suit everyone. The problem is that a short M.2 2230 format SSD is used inside the console. However, if you arm yourself with tools and are not afraid to lose the warranty, you can also install a regular M.2 2280 in the console.

In order for such an SSD to physically fit, you need to slightly damage the inside of the case. There is nothing complicated about this, but, of course, you can say goodbye to the guarantee. You will also need to move the antenna cables and isolate the drive.
Such experiments have already been carried out, and the console identified the WD SN850X and Crucial P3 Plus 4 TB SSDs without any problems.
