Today, AvtoVAZ President Maxim Sokolov showed a presentation at the Digital Industry of Industrial Russia conference announcing the launch of new models in 2024.
In particular, the presentation says that ” the start of joint production of new Lada models with partners from China in Tolyatti and Izhevsk is 2024. ” “ We have Lada West Togliatti, where General Motors used to assemble Chevrolet Niva. We consider [it] as one of the possible maneuvers for organizing partnership projects ,” said AvtoVAZ President Maxim Sokolov.
In 2024, AvtoVAZ will release completely new cars.
In other words, in 2024, new Chinese cars under the Lada brand will be assembled in Togliatti and Izhevsk. But what kind of models they will be is still unclear. Earlier it was reported that AvtoVAZ could launch the production of a truly large model – class D.
Recall that on June 14, the production of Lada X-Cross 5, the first “Chinese” under the Lada brand, will start at the former Nissan plant in St. Petersburg .
