In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, a whole event was found, a reference to the vocalist of The Prodigy

Western gaming media, including Eurogamer, have drawn attention to a reference to former The Prodigy vocalist Keith Flint in the Scandinavian action game Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Simple players and little-known bloggers discovered the “easter egg” shortly after the release of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, but the find of gamers attracted the attention of specialized publications only now.

The reference is made in the form of an event called The Prodigy: in the in-game version of Essex (the Prodigy’s native county), a musician named Keith can be found, whose group is opposed to the self-proclaimed bishop.

In order to avoid spoilers, we will not disclose all the details of Keith’s storyline: we will only note that the quest is full of references to songs (Omen, Smack My Bitch Up) and albums (Music for the Jilted Generation) of a real band.

Flint himself, however, will not be able to appreciate the “Easter egg” of the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla developers: in March 2019, the musician was found dead at his home in the city of Dunmow (also in Essex).

Neither the publishing house Ubisoft nor the numerous development studios of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla have commented on the situation yet. Probably, among the creators of the game, there were fans of The Prodigy in general and Flint in particular.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was released on November 10 on PC (Uplay, Epic Games Store), PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and on November 12 it reached PS5. In British retail, the game started at # 1 on the weekly chart.
