On March 10, the Chelyabinsk Plant of Urban Electric Transport (ChZGET) was launched. The owner of the plant is the Sinara – Transport Machines holding.
The production of electric buses and trolleybuses was reportedly organized at the site in just eight months. The plant includes a welding shop, anti-corrosion treatment, assembly and a diagnostic complex. The production capacity of the enterprise is 350 units per year, that is, just over one vehicle per day. However, it is reported that in the future the capacity can be increased by almost four times, up to 1200 cars per year.
In Chelyabinsk, the production of electric buses and trolleybuses started
As part of the first batch, the plant will produce only trolleybuses that will be used directly in Chelyabinsk.
The STM holding announced the start of production of wheeled urban transport in June last year, presenting the trolleybus of its own design SINARA-6254, and then the electric bus SINARA-6253.
