In China, a “smart” version of the popular crossover Huawei Aito M7 has been certified

Full name – Aito M7 Smart Driving Edition

The large crossover Huawei Aito M7 debuted in China exactly a year ago and immediately became a hit . The car turned out to be large, powerful and inexpensive, so its success in the home market was predictable. But now Huawei is ripe for the release of a “smart” version of the crossover – with an advanced autopilot. The car, called the Aito M7 Smart Driving Edition, has already been listed in the database of the Chinese Ministry of Industry.

The new version is most easily identified by the “hump” on the roof above the windshield – the lidar is located there. Judging by the photo, a couple more lidars are located on the wings to the left and right. These sensors, along with a powerful computing platform, will enable Huawei ADS 2.0 Autonomous Driving System functions anytime, in any weather, and in any traffic condition.

Dimensions Aito M7 Smart Driving Edition are 5050 x 1945 x 1760 mm, wheelbase – 2820 mm. The car is certified as a 6- and 5-seater. The basic version will receive only one electric motor – it will be located on the rear axle (power – 271 hp), in the top version an electric motor with a capacity of 177 hp is added. on the front axle. Well, since the Aito M7 Smart Driving Edition is a hybrid, there is a 1.5-liter turbo engine with 152 hp under the hood. That is, in total, in the top version, the power of all motors is 600 hp.
