The service costs $145
Tencent Cloud has unveiled a digital human production platform called Deepfakes-as-a-Service (DFaaS) by The Register.
The service only takes three minutes of live video, 100 spoken sentences, and 24 hours to create a digital person, all at a cost of just $145.
In China, they began to create digital people. This requires very little data.
The digital characters are available in full-length or waist-length, and the service is available in both Chinese and English. Chen Lei, general manager of Tencent Cloud Intelligent Digital Human Products, said the company hopes to build an automated “intelligent digital human factory.”
Tencent offers five styles for its digital people: three 3D (realistic, semi-realistic and animated) and two 2D (realistic and animated). Digital people can be used, for example, with chatbots that are gaining popularity. Local media also reported that Tencent could use the development to create digital doctors, lawyers, and other professionals.
