In Deathloop shooter with DualSense controller you can “feel the weapon in your hand”

Arkane’s shooter Deathloop will launch exclusively on PlayStation 5 and PC. This means that the game will be tailored to fit the console. In particular, under the DualSense controller, which boasts resistance triggers. Speaking with IGN, Deathloop Development Lead Dinga Bakaba explained how the developers took advantage of the new console.

Death loop on the PlayStation 5 will have a higher resolution and frame rate than what the current generation console could have, with Bakaba emphasizing the importance of 60fps in particular. He also noted that the project will support HDR and ray tracing in some locations.

“It’s just the high fidelity of on-screen play that makes the work of Seb’s [Sebastian Mitton, Artistic Director, Arkane Studios] shine like never before is really impressive. Of course, I mentioned the frame rate. I think this is really important. So far, our games and consoles have always stuck to 30fps. Being able to target 60 fps for an action game is very exciting, ” he added.

Thereafter, Bakaba confirmed that Deathloop will also use the unique DualSense tactile vibration and resistance triggers.

“The game has a lot of nice features with vibration, resistance triggers. We make first-person games. We really appreciate the immersion in our games, said Bakaba. ” [With DualSense, you] will really feel the weapon in your hand, the recoil, how it reloads, how it responds to reloading, and so on … I think players will enjoy these features

The death loop will be out this fall.
