In-game Map, Mother Miranda and New Poster: Capcom Reveals Three Fresh Images of Resident Evil Village
Portal IGN, as part of its regular column IGN First, introduced three new images from the hotly anticipated horror Resident Evil Village by Japanese publisher Capcom.
First of all, the journalists showed the in-game map – it appeared in the January presentation of the Resident Evil Showcase, but in a much poorer resolution (although the fans partially fixed it ).
As the map demonstrates and the director of the game, Morimasa Sato, assures us, things will not be limited to rural landscapes alone: “Especially in horror, I think you need to provide new sensations. Within the village, it is important to continue to surprise the player. “
The next frame is an image of a painting (even a bit of an icon) depicting mother Miranda. It was with her in the third trailer for Resident Evil Village that Lady Dimitrescu spoke on the phone.
Capcom did not detail the role of Miranda’s mother but hinted: the heroine is worshiped in the village, and the word mother, in this case, is used with religious connotations.
Finally, the Resident Evil Village poster (attached in full size below). In addition to Ethan Winters and his daughter, Chris Redfield, in his arms, the image contains Miranda’s mother wearing a raven mask – a symbol of horror, according to Sato.
The release of Resident Evil Village is expected on May 7 this year on PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and S. In anticipation of the game’s premiere, on April 16, the second edition of the Resident Evil Showcase will take place.
