In macOS 11.3 Apple will improve the performance of iOS applications on computers with the M1 chip

Apple yesterday released macOS Big Sur 11.3 Beta, which improves the mobile experience on M1-based Macs. In addition, the developers have added important innovations to the standard software modules.

After Apple released the first computers based on the ARM-based M1 chip, their users were able to run mobile applications written for the iPhone and iPad. Nevertheless, the convenience of their use on computers leaves much to be desired, because the developers optimize them primarily for touch screens, so working with a mouse and keyboard is not so convenient for them. Apple is aware of this and is working to address these issues in an upcoming macOS update. Now, iPad apps running on your computer will have enhanced scaling capabilities and optimized for mice, trackpads, and keyboards. All this, of course, will need to be done by software developers on their own.

In the beta version of macOS Big Sur‌ 11.3, advanced settings have been added to Safari, which allows you to customize the appearance of the browser interface in even more detail. For example, rearrange sections such as favorites, reading list, Siri suggestions, etc. to your liking. In addition, developers were able to use a new software package to integrate speech recognition on their web pages.

The to-do app now has the ability to sort tasks by title, due date, priority, or creation date. In addition, the reminder list can be printed if you need a hard copy.

Apple Music now has a shortcut in the For You sidebar, which brings together playlists based on user preferences. As with iOS 14.5, the final version of macOS Big Sur 11.3 will receive support for gamepads from the Xbox Series X / S and PlayStation 5.

Earlier it became known that in iOS 14.5 the function of recognizing a face in a mask was implemented if the Apple Watch is on the hand and unlocked.
