Increasing the frame rate in a few clicks: a blogger wrote a program to optimize Cyberpunk 2077
CD Projekt RED is doing its best to fix the poor technical condition of Cyberpunk 2077 . Over the past ten days, the developers have released two patches at once ( 1.05 and 1.06 ), which fix bugs and problems. However, in terms of optimization, the project is still far from ideal even on a PC, although this version was the main focus. The author of the YouTube channel EZ PC TECH decided to make his own edits. He wrote a program that allows you to change hidden graphics settings and significantly improve performance.
For starters, it is worth noting that the described utility does not contain viruses or other malicious files. The blogger provided the VirusTotal report as evidence. However, the author did not publish the source code of the program, so it is impossible to fully vouch for its safety.
The program is called EZ Optimizer and includes four settings. The first, Max Boost, ensures that the frame rate is increased with the image quality that the user’s system can provide. This mode is best for those with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or older graphics cards. The second option, Balanced, puts more emphasis on graphics quality, so it does not increase the frame rate as much as in the first case (recommended for PCs with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti graphics cards or better). The third mode restores the default game settings, while the fourth improves performance on GeForce GTX GPUs and is not recommended for RTX 30 series.
EZ PC TECH has demonstrated the EZ Optimizer on its GTX 1070 Ti. With the program turned off, the frame rate in Cyberpunk 2077 ranged from 44 to 50 fps; when using the Balanced mode, the indicators increased to 54-71 frames / s; and Max Boost helped to achieve 51-80 fps. At the same time, the image quality, if changed, is barely noticeable.
