Insomniac Games will bring Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart gameplay demo to gamescom 2020 opening ceremony

Gamescom 2020: Opening Night Live host Geoff Keighley announced on his microblog another world premiere for his show – Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.

Kayleigh said at the opening ceremony of Gamescom 2020 there will be a presentation of the gameplay of the adventure platformer Insomniac Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment.

When an interested user asked whether the developers had demonstrated the gameplay before (we are talking about the announcement trailer ), the showman replied: “It will be a complete, longer demo without editing cuts!”

As a reminder, Insomniac Games showed a seamless transition between parallel worlds, a few seconds of explosive (literally) action, and a mysterious Lombax girl (see screenshot below) as part of the mentioned video.

In a separate tweet, Kayleigh also added that after the presentation of the platformer, he will talk to its developers and, among other things, ask them to tell more about the new playable character.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is being developed exclusively for the PlayStation 5. No release date was announced, but even before the project was announced, there were rumors that the game could be one of the first on the new Sony console.

Opening Night Live will begin broadcasting on August 27 at 20:30 Moscow time with a preliminary half-hour show. As part of the opening ceremony, 38 projects are expected to be shown – some of them are already known.
