We are talking, in particular, about personal computers capable of exchanging data via 5G networks. It is assumed that such devices will coexist with an Intel CPU and a MediaTek modem.

In particular, it is planned to use the MediaTek T700 5G module. This product has already been successfully tested in real-world scenarios. The chip provides support for 5G networks with non-autonomous (NSA) and autonomous (SA) architectures in the frequency range below 6 GHz.

It is noted that the MediaTek T700 5G modem is highly energy-efficient, which is very important when the device is powered by a battery.

The first laptop computers, created through the Intel-MediaTek partnership, will debut early next year. Earlier it was said that such laptops can come out including under the brand’s Dell and HP.

We add that the first commercial 5G networks went live in April last year. Today, around a hundred of such services operate around the world, with Western Europe being the leader in the implementation of 5G.
