Intel head of factory to help boost production at other factories

Simultaneously with the announcement of information about the delay in the development of 7-nm technology, Intel representatives announced a personnel reshuffle: new managers are now responsible for technology development and product development. The current director of the Israeli factory Fab 28, Daniel Benatar, has also risen to the level of deputy general manager for production issues.

Apparently, Benatar will act as the deputy to Keyvan Esfarjani, who now oversees Intel’s manufacturing activities. As noted by The Times of Israel, none of the Israelis have held such a high position in the corporate structure of the company until now. Benatar will simultaneously serve as Intel’s VP of Manufacturing Operations while continuing to work in Israel.

Based in Kiryat Gat, Fab 28 has been modernized since 2011 under the direct supervision of Daniel Benatar, and in 2015 he was appointed director of the enterprise. In 2013 and 2019, Fab 28 received a corporate award for product quality. Benatar has been with Intel since 1993 and graduated in Physics and Mathematics in Jerusalem and Business Administration. Now Fab 28, he heads, employs about 4,900 people. The company began production of 10nm products last year, so the experience of managing an advanced division will help Daniel Benatar with the implementation of new technological processes at other Intel enterprises.
