Intel’s Core-X Skylake-X processors are getting ready to retire. The company issued a notice of product change, which states that from January 22 of next year Intel will no longer accept orders for such CPUs, as well as issue returns for them. The cessation of supplies is scheduled for July 9 next year.

Simply put, this lineup has only a “less than a year to live. The same, by the way, applies to other processors performed by LGA 2066. For example, the Xeon W-2000 line.

Recall that the Core 9000X line was replaced in the form of the Core 10000X line (Cascade Lake-X) in October last year. New CPUs have not changed much, but have become much cheaper. However, they have to compete with two AMD lines at once: the usual Ryzen and Ryzen Threadripper, and in the second case, conditionally speaking immediately with both the first and second generation.
