Intel to showcase the capabilities of the Ice Lake-SP Xeon processors on April 6
According to unofficial reports, the announcement of 10nm Ice Lake-SP processors was postponed several times. At the beginning of this year, Intel admitted that it would introduce them in the coming months. The company partners have already received more than 115 thousand copies, and foreign journalists have begun to receive invitations to the event, which may be associated with the announcement of these processors.
Next week, Intel CEO Patrick Gelsinger will take part in an event presumably dedicated to the company’s plans for the next few years; as an illustration of a profile press release, an image of a silicon wafer has already been used, on which some enthusiasts have seen crystals very similar to the basis of processors Ice Lake-SP. This sign of the proximity of their announcement encouraged many.
Meanwhile, colleagues from the AnandTech website report that they received an invitation to watch the broadcast from the event, which will be held on April 6 under the auspices of the Intel Data Platform Group. The invitation promises to “open a new chapter” in the server division’s history and showcase the capabilities of the third generation Xeon Scalable processors.
Key leaders of Intel’s core businesses, including the CEO, will speak at the event. Considering that competing AMD EPYC Milan processors were unveiled recently, you can expect Intel to unveil its Ice Lake-SP processors on April 6th.
