Intel Uses MacBook Pro Image for “World’s Best Processor”
Intel has recently launched an aggressive marketing campaign against Apple Macs, positioning them as inferior to Windows laptops based on Intel processors. But it looks like Intel marketers have made a funny mistake, as in one of the recent advertising images designed to promote “the best processor in the world” instead of a Windows laptop flaunts a MacBook Pro.
One of the users of the Reddit community drew attention to this and shared his observations. The fact is that one of Intel’s advertising images shows a person using a laptop that looks a lot like a MacBook Pro. Simultaneously, the slogan in the image reads “the best processor in the world for a thin and light laptop,” and the advertisement itself is intended to promote Intel’s 11th generation Core i7-1185G7 processor.
The source says that a snapshot from Getty Images was taken as the basis for the advertising image, which actually depicts a MacBook Pro and a Magic Mouse. It’s worth noting that Apple continues to sell Mac computers with Intel chips, despite the gradual transition to in-house processors. Despite this, the Core i7-1185G7 mentioned in the ad was not used in any Mac computer, and its launch took place around the same time that the Apple M1 chip was introduced, i.e., at the end of last year.
