Intel announced the closure of business a year ago

A year ago, Intel announced that it was closing the Optane memory business and writing off more than $500 million. At the same time, the company specified that it would ship its last Optane Persistent Memory 100 modules on September 30, 2023, but has now moved the date to December 29. Apparently, there were more orders than Intel expected.

Intel will make commercially reasonable efforts.

Intel will use commercially reasonable efforts to complete the latest orders for the Intel Optane Persistent Memory 100 Series.

This wording can mean different things, but in general, given the postponement of the date, it is clear that the company wants to fulfill more orders. At the same time, Optane memory was supported only by some lines of Intel CPUs.
