But they won’t come out soon

According to the source, in Linux 5.10 there was a mention of the first 7nm Intel processors – Meteor Lake. In particular, their support has been added to the e1000e Gigabit Ethernet adapter driver. And although this fact in itself does not indicate the imminent release of the corresponding CPUs, we can at least say that work on Meteor Lake is going according to plan.

Intel’s first 7nm processors lit up in Linux code

These CPUs form the 13th Gen Intel Core lineup and will be released either in late 2022 or early 2022. By then, they will have to compete with AMD’s 5nm Zen 4 CPUs, and it won’t be easy. Meteor Lake is expected to be a hybrid CPU – with large Ocean Cove cores and small Gracemont cores. It should be noted that CPU Alder Lake will already become hybrid – as expected, they will be released a year earlier than Meteor Lake.
