Introduced the world’s first laptop with the latest 10-core Core i9-10900K desktop processor

Earlier we talked about models on older Ryzen CPUs, now it’s the turn of a laptop with an Intel processor. The XMG Ultra 17 uses the Comet Lake processors introduced yesterday, from the Core i5-10600K to the top-end 10-core Core i9-10900K. Given the power consumption of the latter, it is still difficult to imagine how this CPU will behave on a laptop. Probably, its power limit is significantly limited so that the cooling system can cope with the generated heat.

Also, the XMG Ultra 17 can be equipped with Nvidia Turing video cards, from the GeForce RTX 2070 Refresh to the RTX 2080 Super, that is, this is a full-fledged gaming model. The RAM on the laptop can be up to 128 GB, and the storage subsystem can be represented by three drives.

As for the screen, there are two versions: the Full HD panel with support for 240 Hz or the 4K UHD panel for which G-Sync support is indicated, but there is no data on the increased frequency. In both cases, the diagonal is 17.3 inches, and the panel type is IPS.

The dimensions of the laptop are 399 x 319 x 43.5 mm with a weight of 3.8 kg. Battery capacity – 97 Wh The cost for the version with Core i7-10700K and GeForce RTX 2070 Refresh is 2800 euros.
