IO Interactive vows to fix the problem with transferring content to the PC version of Hitman 3 before the end of the month
A spokesman for IO Interactive on the official Hitman forum clarified the timing of the appearance in the PC version of Hitman 3 of the promised level transfer system from the second part of the recently completed trilogy.
Earlier it became known that the owners of the Steam edition of Hitman 2 will not be able to move content from an already purchased game to Hitman 3 for the Epic Games Store because the sequel is not sold in the Epic Games digital store.
However, even before the release, IO Interactive promised that they would definitely correct the situation. Apparently, salvation is not far off: the function should appear in the game before the end of this month.
“We have developed a solution and are currently testing it from all angles to make it as effective as possible. As for the timing, it’s more about “early” than “late,” the studio said.
We will remind, in a recent interview, the executive producer of IO Interactive Forest Swartout Large mentioned that Hitman 3 would receive add-ons. Still, there will almost certainly not be new levels in them.
Hitman 3 was released on January 20 on PC (Epic Games Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, Nintendo Switch (in the cloud), and Google Stadia. On Metacritic, the rating of the project is from 84 to 87%.
The digital launch of Hitman 3 proved to be the most successful in IO Interactive history. The game reclaiming development costs in less than a week after going on sale and starting to generate profits for the studio.
