After releasing the second version of iOS 17.1 Release Candidate, Apple will begin distributing the final version of iOS 17.1 on Monday or Tuesday, according to Mydrivers.

According to Apple’s official statement, the main issues fixed in iOS 17.1 are as follows:

We fixed an issue that could cause Important Location’s privacy settings to reset when you first transfer or connect your Apple Watch.

Fixed an issue where names were not displayed when making other calls during a call.

Fixed a bug due to which custom and purchased ringtones were not displayed as text signal parameters;

We fixed an issue that could cause the keyboard to become less responsive.

We fixed an issue that could cause image retention on the display.

This last point is very important because Apple claims that this update solves the so-called “screen burn-in” problem of the iPhone 15. According to Apple’s previous statement, this is “image retention” and not screen burn-in. This problem is caused by software bugs. According to reviews from users of the beta firmware, the problem is indeed being solved.

However, judging by the reviews, iOS 17.1 does not solve the random rebooting of the phone at night. Apple is expected to fix the bug in iOS 17.1.1.
