IPad Air 4 will have a display with thin bezels, USB Type-C and a fingerprint scanner in the power button

Photos of the user manual for the as-yet-unannounced iPad Air 4 in Spanish started popping up on social media this morning. Recall that yesterday the documents for the certification of the new iPad and Apple Watch were received by the EEC. Today’s leak sheds light on some of the specs of the device, making it clear that the new iPad Air will be even closer to the Pro series tablets.

According to the published data, the new iPad Air will receive an enlarged display with narrow bezels on all sides and will lose the usual Home button (home), but will retain the Touch ID sensor. It will now be built into the power button, which will grow in size. Recall that the iPad Pro uses the Face ID user identification system.

Also, according to the manual, the new tablet will lose the Lightning connector, which will be replaced by USB Type-C, as in the last two generations of iPad Pro. In addition, the back of the tablet will house a Smart Connector, which will be used to connect the Magic Keyboard and other compatible accessories.

It is currently unknown when the device will be presented. According to the Internet publication DigiTimes, the 10.8-inch iPad Pro should appear in the second half of this year. Reputable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also announced the release of a 10.8-inch iPad this year but did not specify if it will be an Air version or a budget based tablet. But at the same time, there is an opinion that the new tablet will be released only in March next year.
