iPhone 12 will not be: at the presentation on September 15, Apple will present only a new smart watch

Apple has announced that it will host an online event on September 15, which is expected to unveil the company’s new smartwatch. The broadcast of the event will begin at 20:00 Moscow time and will be available on the company’s website.

Usually, the tech giant puts on a massive new product show in the fall. It is held at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino or elsewhere in Silicon Valley. However, this year, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the presentation has been moved to an online event format, as was previously the annual Apple WWDC for developers.

It is worth noting that the announcement published on the company’s website is atypical, since in the past Apple has usually hinted at what exactly will be presented at the upcoming event. The current media invitation reads: “Time flies.” This most likely means that Apple is announcing a new smartwatch, not an iPhone. As previously reported, the presentation of the new iPhone will take place no earlier than October this year.

The company is preparing to launch a new high-quality and affordable Apple Watch and a redesigned iPad Air with a bezel-less display. In addition, Apple is working on a HomePod smart speaker and on-ear headphones that are likely to be released later this year.

As for the new iPhones, which will appear later, they will receive a redesigned body, updated cameras, and the ability to work in the fifth generation (5G) networks. Apple also plans to announce the first Mac-based on its own processor by the end of the year, which will replace Intel’s solutions. New versions of iOS and iPadOS are also due this month, with software updates for Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Mac coming at a later date.
