Users complain about ultra-fast battery degradation
The problem of Apple battery degradation exists in all generations of iPhone models, however, with the release of iPhone 14, user complaints have become more frequent.
iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro went on sale September 16, 2022. At the same time, according to imore.com, many users report that the batteries of their smartphones are already starting to show serious signs of degradation. Less than 11 months after the release of smartphones, in some cases, batteries show a residual capacity of 90% or less. The minimum value among published complaints is 87%. Users are outraged that this is unthinkable for a smartphone that is not yet a year old.
iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro Owners Outraged
When the iPhone’s remaining battery capacity falls below 80%, the phone will prompt the user to replace the battery. Even with the modern Apple A16 single-chip system, which is installed in the iPhone 14 Pro, the smartphone simply cannot keep a charge during the day with active use.
As for the reasons for this dramatic battery degradation, one suggestion points to extremely hot summers in some parts of the world. According to another version, the batteries used simply do not meet the standard. However, one thing is clear: some iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro owners will soon be faced with the need to replace batteries.
However, the announcement of the new iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro is expected in September.
